THIS HISTORIC HOTEL WAS BUILT IN THE 1850;S. THE HOTEL WAS THE SETTING FOR AUSTRALIA’S FIRST FEATURE LENGTH MOVIE, “ THE MOTH OF MOOMBY” BY CHARLES CHAUVAL. THE FILM PREMIRED IN MELBOURNE ON THE 26TH OF JANUARY 1926, AND LATER THAT YEAR IN THE ROSEVALE HOTEL HALL. TWO OTHER FILMS HAVE BEEN FILMED IN ROSEVALE, THEY ARE “ SURRENDER IN PARADISE” AND “ THE LADY AND THE COWBOY “
THE HOTEL CATERS FOR FAMILY GET TOGETHERS, STAFF FUNCTIONS,ANNIVERSARIES, WEDDINGS, PARTIES, BUS TOURS, FUNDRAISERS AND RALLY’S. WE CATER FOR ANYTHING.
